Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information SkinsMaster collects, why, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider).
- Steam details: the Steam accounts you link, including account IDs, names, avatars and inventories.
- Marketplace API keys: keys you add for marketplaces such as CSGOEmpire, MarketCSGO and DMarket. They're encrypted before they're stored and are never shown in full, including to our staff.
- Trading records: bids, purchases, listings, sales and profit figures the app records for you.
- App information: app version, whether bots are running, and error reports, so we can support you and fix problems.
- Payments: the plan you bought, amount, date and status. Card and bank details are handled by Paystack, and crypto payments by NOWPayments. We never receive your card number.
Why we use it
- To run the software and your account, including the trading features you turn on.
- To apply your plan and its limits, and to record payments.
- To support you, fix problems and keep SkinsMaster secure.
- To tell you about your account, such as a plan about to end or an important update.
We don't sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that host our data and handle payments (Supabase, Paystack, NOWPayments).
- Marketplaces and Steam, only when the app acts on your instructions using your own accounts and keys.
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
Some providers store data outside South Africa, with safeguards required by POPIA.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise the rest.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. You can remove marketplace keys and linked Steam accounts in the app at any time. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
